Enjoy a winter snowfall, and visit “the Wall in the Wilderness”, a stunning sculpture depicting the history of the Central Highlands, in Huon Pine panels each 1metre x 3 metres, by artist Greg Duncan – a 10 year project – a work in progress. The World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Park is just a 10 minute drive away and is a must see whilst visiting Tasmania. Enjoy a ferry ride, or world class walks in the Park and surrounding area. Photographer’s dreams come true!

    Each of the chalets and studios is fully self-contained, quiet, private and designed for your comfort and convenience. Two of the chalets have romantic spas for couples, three chalets are suited to families or groups, and one is a charming retreat for two.

    The almost new studios are perfect for one or two persons and are great value with their facilities and comfort. All accommodation has television with satellite reception, together with CD/DVD players, while all the chalets have full laundry facilities. The studios share a coin operated laundry.

    All guests are offered complimentary ground plunger coffee, port & chocolate mints together with a morning newspaper. A selection of fine wines and beers are available at reception for the convenience of guests. A continental breakfast can be arranged at check-in.

    Guests can self-cater in their chalet or studio (limited cooking facilities), or if dining out, the local hotel just 700 metres away serves lunch and dinner. (Not Christmas Day.)

    Derwent Bridge is an isolated community, so if guests have any special food needs please bring it with you, as there are very limited shopping opportunities. A Gluten free continental breakfast is available on request.
